News: Bears will keep banging on the NRL door

If ever I seen a bid of any type doomed to failure then this it. The Bears have made zilch attempt to connect with the Central Coast and simply think that they will be succesfull because of the Bears branding and colouring. I agree that many of the residents of the Central Coast are not the...

News: Lowe to land CEO job

The press release that announces Lowe's appoitment will make for interesting reading, I wonder how they will be sugar coating his abilities to run a $11m pa operation. Having the support of the 2 owners is one thing, running the business is something quite different.

What's more useless than a Dragons' Premiership tshirt?

They need to follow the prototype of the Mariners in the A League, in fact I would go so far as to say that if a CC team is admitted to the NRL they should be called the CC Mariners. The Mariners brand is already known, but more importantly they are seen by the residents of the CC as being a CC...

What's more useless than a Dragons' Premiership tshirt?

The Central Coast Bears will fail simply because of the connection to North Sydney. The only way for a NRL team to even have a chance of succeding on the CC it will have to be seen as a CC team, not just as another Sydney team that is relocating to the CC.

    Gallop - just go!

Can't vouch for 10,000 freebies but I was offered 2 free tix last year, no offer of being paid and I certainly had to pay my own way to Melbourne.

News: Breaking news - Orford quits Manly

Not interested in who flicked Mayer, the fact remains that since Mayer left Penn has apparently been running the place. How he has allowed himself to be held to ransom by a player is a massive blunder by him. Penn can blame none but himself. I cannot recall Manly ever beginning a season...

News: Breaking news - Orford quits Manly

Absolutely the club is to blame, they should have given Orford a deadline to either accept their offer or decline it, and that deadline should have been way back in July 2009. The club are letting the lunatics run the aslylum, the lack of leadership from Penn & his cohorts leaves me flabbergasted.

News: Orford close to walking out

Robertson - not signed! Wolfman - not signed! Ox is not the only player that has not resigned at this stage MB. I just don't accept that the lack of a CEO is the reason players have not put pen to paper, there is smoke coming from Narrabeen, and where there is smoke the fire is usually not to...

News: Orford close to walking out

Ryan, the headline stories are worrying enough, they indicate a complete fool is running the club at the moment. Scott Penn is no fool, just ask Matabele. My real concern is the underlying story, why is an extrmeley succesful and talented person like Scott Penn allowing this to occur, what would...

News: Orford close to walking out

Jeez, there is enough quotes by Penn in those articles to suggest that this club is not only lacking a CEO, it is also lacking and suggestion of leadership. How the hell can we be starting pre-season training & be "undergoing salary cap" reviews and 2 international players and a premiership...

News: Gallop open to shifting grand final

How does anyone negotiate a deal with the company that is effectively paying your salary? The real problem here is not Gallop, it is the structure/ownership of the NRL.

    News: Eagles’ six pack

If the Telegraph story is true then the Penn/Delmege issue has just stooped to a new low that I didn't personally think was possible. The mere fact that Pat Wilson is shortlisted also does not give me a lot of hope for the near future.

News: Gallop open to shifting grand final

It is irrelevant how many fans the ground holds, the bigger bucks come from the Government that want the game in their state or even country. They  played a Bledisloe Cup game last night in Tokyo in front of 48k fans, many of whom had free tix. That game could have been played anywhere in...

News: 2009 in Review - Manly Sea Eagles

We we poor from the start, luck to finish 5th and deserved to be punted from the semi finals in the first week. We not convincing in any match we played, never dominated any match and were just to damm inconsistent.
