    People you meet

Went to Parra v Manly match . Sterlo and the guys from their 1983 Grand Final winning side were in the members section. Sterlo ever the gentleman graciously allowed a photo with an ‘enemy’ and had a chat. As bad as Manly played .. and they were poor.. the Eels were fired up for this match . They...

Game Day: Panthers v Manly [Round 6, 2023]

I was at Penrith Park in 1973 when Manly won 70-7. I can see Penrith bettering that score. This Manly performance is pitiful.

    The People you meet

Was travelling around Iceland recently and on our bus trip we ran into Wayne from Pittsworth Qld. He is a very passionate Raiders supporter as I am a Sea Eagles supporter. We traded many stories about our clubs all good natured. I have a mate who is a Parra fan and he’s no fun to be around Game...

Tommy T Injured - usa bound

Wombat also was awarded retrospectively the Clive Churchill medal for his man of the match performances in the 1976 and 1978 Grand Finals. In all he played in 6 Grand Finals and won 4. As much as I love Turbo and I believe he’ll be a great of the game , there is no way he can match Graham Eadie...

Tommy T Injured - usa bound

Speaking of the 1973 Grand Final, I had the great pleasure in meeting my Manly idol Graham Eadie and the great Cronulla Captain-Coach Tommy Bishop in Coolangatta last week courtesy of former 1970s West Magpies 2nd rower Geoff Foster. Tommy isn’t doing as well as he should. Also met Larry Corowa...

    Hello from penrith 🦅

I went out there Friday night for the Echoes of Pink Floyd show. Highly recommend the show but one for the purists. The size of the club precinct is massive. Unit blocks are popping up on the street corners in and around the club all within walking distance of Panthers. It looks like a nice...

    The Queen's Death

Yes I wholeheartedly agree. I am an Irish born Catholic with strong Republican roots but recognise the importance of her place in our History. Her sense of duty was indeed impressive. Condolences to her family and the people of the UK.

A disgrace to the jersey the club and the fans

Go West Ham !! I’m forever blowing bubbles..been a fan since the early 70s the days of Billy Bonds and Frank Lampard Snr. The Hammers are very much like Manly. They promise much and only occasionally deliver.

    Tom Wright

The guy Penruff signed was Kent Lamber. He was sent home from an All Black tour of the UK after a night club incident. He was meant to form a powerhouse front row with Ron Clothier and the Poms Mike Stephenson and Bill Ashurst… Snoz and Stephen Knight were great signings for us from Union.

    Best and worst Poms

Mal Reilly was the best Pom . In that 73 Grand Final he made sure he touched up Cliffy Watson another Pommy before he went off.John Bucknall infamous for breaking John Sattler’s jaw in the 1970 GF replaced Mal . He didn’t do a bad job on The Sharks forwards either. Speaking of pommy duds didn’t...

Can DCE equal Rick Chisholm's 1982 field goal feat?

Me too And that fabulous pass from Steve Cray ne to Rick Chisholm as he was falling to the ground. Chisholm burst thru chipped over the top regathered and scored. Fond memories
