Does the northern beaches have the fittest blokes in Australia?
It would appear so after a fireman and personal trainer from the peninsula were named as finalists in a Men's Health magazine competition to find the fittest man in Australia.
Sea Eagle David Williams was named a finalist in the publication's celebrity category.
Fellow northern beaches identities Hayden Quinn (MasterChef) and Luke Jacobz (X-Factor) were also included among the top eight celebrity finalists.
In the main competition, a Men's Health magazine panel selected fireman Mick Paddon and personal trainer Zac Smith in the top 12.
From here, a final six will be selected by the judging panel and revealed in the coming weeks.
The 2013 Men's Health Man winner will be crowned at a gala event in Sydney on December 3.
The competition is now in its fifth year and aims to identify Australian men who endeavour to be the best they can be in all aspects of life - work, relationships, fitness, health and grooming.
