Talau definitely has more "upside" than Parker

To be fair to Parker though he is great guy to have in your squad and even premiership teams have won with players similar to him e.g Momorovski.
In our great Manly History of Premiership Winning Success
Manly has never had a Momorovski style of premiership winning centre
All our premiership winning centres were more dominant than a Momorovski
By the way , Who is Momorovski playing for in 2024 ?

The words I've heard about Talau from Tigers supporters have never been anything good. "Dog s***" is a common one. That said, Tigers aren't exactly a great metric for a player's skill because they have a magical ability to turn players such as Papli'i, who was a beast at the Eels and likely one of the best backrowers in the comp, into a NSW cup level player.

Too busy laughing about Talau.......he should be crying that the Tigers can't sign anyone! I'd say Talau is laughing that he's out of the place. To be honest i have a good feeling about Talua!! He may just surprise.
I reckon he has turned out pretty well. Did have my concerns talking to tigers fans, but though going well for us - especially his hands.

Someone needs to council Tom about running hard. On Friday night once he took the intercept he ran about 3 quarter pace to the line meaning he didn't get the ball close to the posts for an easier conversion for Ruben. Ruben then missed the conversion. That extra 2 would have been handy in the end. It's the small 1 % things that matter sometimes.

He hasnt got out of 3/4 for 2 seasons ,He runs like he knows he will break at full throttle.

Strewth,we’re at that stage of the grief process after a loss, nitpicking

Guilty as charged. Look i agree he's been pretty good, particularly under the high ball. However, you wouldn't see a Melboune winger do that, without a huge serve from Bellamy.
How do you know Seibold didn’t give him a serve?(not that I believe he deserved one)

Garrick to Wing next to Koula and Talau to Centre next to Saab. Doesn’t need to be fast, just needs to break the line and create opportunities for Saab on the outside or Haumole on the inside. Has also shown he has the ability to be relatively okay defensive decisions all things considering. Would like to see how he fairs up, also all doesn’t really matter if our FB is defending at Hooker

I reckon he’s been going quite well all season actually. Vast improvement on our wingers over the last few years. Yardage runs are pretty good and safe under the high ball, as many have said. To be fair, I would’ve backed Garrick to kick that goal from where it was 9 times out of 10.
Yep,had nothing to do with where Talau placed the ball.Garrick was kicking them from all over the field last week,he just had an off night Friday. But the loss should not be attributed to Garrick’s kicking

ACL's can do that to some .... I agree, we haven't seen him stretch right out .... both he and Paulo strike me as very talented athletes but maybe a bit lazy or detached would like to see them display a bit of animal.... hope I'm proven wrong

He’s not running any slower than the other Tommy T at the moment who seems to be stuck in second gear.

Totally agree. He had a 10m head start once he took the intercept. Looked like he could have run harder. Even still could have gone around at least another 5 metres before forcing the ball. Conversion then hit the inside of the post and came out.
