Todd Carney Combined Mega Thread

Yeah I know a few here rate Lloyd but fmd Ive not seen much to get over enthused about. I rate him as mediocrity at best. Unless things change when he's off contract if he got a gig elsewhere he'd be playing reggies as back up - would not even be near the top 17 when it comes to the really strong teams in the Comp. Prove me wrong Lloyd - ure running out of time bro

While all the critics of Lloyd Perrett are calling him soft & things, there was just ELEVEN "special" players selected for the Queensland Emerging Origin Squad. In fact, he was considered for the SENIOR emerging squad. Here is the squad guys:

A bit about it:

Queensland Maroons coach Kevin Walters will look to take a new approach to the senior Queensland Emerging Origin squad next season, having today announced a more streamlined team of 11 players.

This fine-tuned collection of Maroons-in-waiting acknowledges the proven success of the Emerging camp concept this past season in producing “ready-made” Origin performers where eight players who took part in the 2017 camp went on to make their Queensland debuts.

“With the smaller numbers; it lets the Origin team staff spend more time with the individuals and the players can also spend more time with each other,” Walters said of the new direction.

Basically, those players selected all participated in drills, skills and intensive training in January by the leagues best coaches including Wayne Bennett, who assisted with the selections.

While people may not rate him on Silvertails.net, there are some pretty serious coaching professionals that do. Wayne Bennett, and Kevin Walters also have current coaching jobs. IF as people alluded to Des Hasler "didn't rate" Lloyd Perrett (which I find hard to believe, vased on the fact he was selected when healthy generally), Des can tell us about it from his lounge room this coming season.

I find that if manly are way n top, he is great to bring on aganst retreating defence. When we are under the pump he is generally ineffective or even a liability.he has some great skills , he just has to learn to bend the line first
 
Seeing as though talk about Carney joining the Eagles refuses to go away, I'm going to ask what might seem like a dumb question (which would hardly be a first on Silvertails) about the whole "Bubbler" photo thing: is he actually pissing in his own mouth or is it all just a matter of trick photography so it looks like he's pissing in his mouth but isn't? I never figured it out when it first hit the headlines and, like I say, it always seemed like one of those things you were just supposed to know. I don't quite get why either option - actually pissing in your own mouth or making it appear as if you were pissing in your own mouth - is something anyone would want to do so it's always kinda baffled me. Thoughts?
