Ok, easy for me to say, it's not my head on the coaching chopping block. But as an armchair expert (and I admit that's all I am) this is the time to experiment. We are last and it's fair to say there is little to lose. If things continue as they are Tooves gets the bullet. If he rolls the dice, he at least has a punchers chance.
To me that's:
1) Tommy Turbo just has to play going forward where possible (ok there might be times to rest him a week here or there as he gets used to first grade, but he needs 1st grade games, we will only benefit from this next year and going forward)
2) Jorge into the backrow (again I have zero knowledge on how he will go) I do worry about how his defence will go. Especially making 20+ tackles. But if we don't try....we'll never find out. So why not. It could be a master stroke. Since we also never seem to use that 4th forward on the bench, Jorge could move there and get some game time.
3) Hiku (do we occasionally give him a run in the halves?)
I really think now is the time to do it. And for Tooves to show he isn't Mr Conservative. As it doesn;t seem to be helping currently.
