The Haka

Being scared or jealous of the Haka is a clear reflection of our own inadequacies as non Maori people.
 
Im non Maori & Im definitely not jealous of it (especially that 73 version),

I don't think scared and jealous are the words people are talking about.
It's about inequality and favouritism. Like the situation with the ground announcer in the finals. No it wouldn't have made a difference to the score, nobody is trying to say it would have. What it did was show that the NRL's main aim in life is not to avoid displays of bias and that they aren't too concerned about treading on a few toes here or there, depending on who the recipient is of course. And we know that as long as this is the situation, we'll be the recipients.
So too with the haka. It's an allowance made for one group because it suits the marketability accross all sports. That sort of thing does get up people's noses.
