Cracking article. It really does show how tight the players are at Manly and how that relates to success. Manly should never have been put in the position to have to let Glenn go. The NRL competition would be much stronger if more concessions were made for long time players so that all clubs could build around their talented juniors and and keep them as one club players.

Teams like the Panthers and Tigers that have great talent coming though will be ripped apart as the players command more money. We should also be relocating two Sydney teams to other states to grow the nursery for young talented players which would strengthen up the comp.

Merge Parramatta and Panthers, create a new team in Perth, Fox and Nine would jizz themselves with the two hour delay.

    great article!

    part i noticed most was:
"Guys like the Stewart brothers and Jamie Lyon, Matt Ballin and Choc Watmough. Steve Matai, Kieran Foran and Jason King. The heart and soul of this club."

no mention of DCE, and i have to agree about those mentioned!
i reckon if we can keep this core group together for say another 2 to 3 years we'll get another few titles in that time
