Is this mob joking....poor Bennett predicted tough times come Origin time....
    Why ??
Because they have a number of superstar players....boo hoo.
And Wow - 2 or 3 injuries....suddenly up here in Qld this becomes a valid excuse??
Jump into Manly's shoes -10 plus injuries....no sympathy here.

Delete this thread. Its a joke right.

We should all feel for the Donks and the continual struggle to fit 10 rep players under the cap. Forced to play 18 to 20 Friday nights a year and home ground semi's.

    No wonder they are dirty.

PS I'd be dirty if i had to see Benet (pronounced Benay) every day.

I seen the interview and Bennent wasn't crying.
I know it's popular to hate on Bennent but he was asked a question why his halves were struggling and to summarise it's because the Origin period caused a distraction for his players and his forwards weren't performing.

Wasn't crying about the situation at all, just responding to questions asked at media duties

Maybe not, but over the years I have yet to hear him acknowledge the many advantages afforded to the Broncos that no one else gets, not once. Would it kill home for once to say something like "Yeah, we are having a rough trot through Origin, but I guess that's the price we pay for having such a strong roster, which comes from being the only team in town. So we will just suck it up and get on with it".

Don't get me started on the Broncos, I have to hear about them every time I go to work, or a bbq, or a family do,or to Woolies or to have a dump. One team in a city of a few million, unlimited salary cap, unlimited sponsors, unlimited talent base, best NRL draw, awesome stadium, own tv show on Sundays, permanent spot on the back page of the Courier Mail, and even when they do get busted for salary cap issues, the bloke in charge disappears and apparently can't be investigated. Poor bastards. Every second Friday night I hear how they get 35 000 to their games. My only response is that relatively speaking Manly has what 300 000 people (stuffs me) living there, Brisbane 3 million, so when Manly gets 13 000 to the game the Boncos should get 130 000. Build a bigger stadium Donkeys.
No seriously don't get me started!!!

    Really??
I recall Bennett crying also after losing a Golden point game & wanting to change the rules, then suddenly smiling after they won a golden point game stating it was exciting stuff & a great win....
Any suspensions his players cop, he is always wanting some other rulings changed & yes - the judiciary stinks, but all teams have to cop it yet his deserve special treatment.
The Origin whinge was just 1 of many he cries about in actual effect - its called double standards with anything related to Brisbane Bronco's.

Did you quote me by mistake?
None of what you have said is relevant.
We were discussing the comments Bennent made at Broncos training yesterday when he said he knew at the start of the year his team would struggle during the Origin period.

I understand hating on Bennent is a cool Internet meme at the moment but no one is talking about Bennents previous whinges which there are plenty of examples

I don't think its cool hating on anyone, but if you enjoy it - go for it I say.
The relevance of the thread is actually based on Bennett always complaining about anything, as though it effects his team worse because they deserve some sort of preference , which reading the OTHER post's - people did understand & find it relevant.
The interview you seen may have been 1 of 5 where he was on his best behaviour, because I have seen 2 seperate sports segments where he was spitting chips, as he does.
Basically Bennett wants the rules changed to suit his side as though they deserve special treatment - this is the theme of the thread, to know they would lose at this time of year is negative also, as other teams with SOO players have got out there & got it done instead of using pre-meditated excuses.

The OP of the thread is in relation to Bennents comments made about his players finding it tough during the origin period which stem from an interview from yesterday.
No mention about golden point or any other jibber jabba

In the interview Bennent never asked for special treatment or for the rules to be changed.
Just merely stating he knew his team would struggle this time of year. everyone knows his teams leaders are mostly all rep players. So to me it seems he is merely stating the obvious.

Again I fail to see any relevance to your post or why you have quoted me but keep those Dank memes alive @:)

Good comical viewing but there's a few flaws in your post....
Firstly, if you think yesterdays amazing interview you seen was the only time Bennett has whined about the huge disadvantage of SOO for the poor Bronco's - most people on this site would have heard it endless times, so maybe get with it Mr Dank.
Could overlook the amazing genius foresight, that during Origin it would be tougher for his hard done by side.....fact is.....you would not have heard a peep from him if they were winning.
Hope this is clearer to understand.o_O

I know I want Bennent to complain about the SoO period. Even though he didn't on this occasion.
I want all the coaches to complain about it.
Most of the Rugby League community want changes around Origin and its scheduling.
The more people in Bennents position talk about it the more awareness it generates.
Wanting positive changes is not crying and the interview in its entirety is available on fox sports, there were no tears.
I suggest watching it and generating an independent thought rather then following the lastest internet trend and just bagging Bennent because of memes right?
There needs to be changes to the way Origih is scheduled and it will benefit everyone.

I liked Bennett coming out in support of Sami R walking out on his contract and that clubs shouldn't cry when players do that.

What people don't know is that Sami will be a Bronco in 2018.

I don't doubt that, he is clearly motivated by the cash and Brisbane have more access to TPAs than any other club.

As for Brisbane losing, their form also dropped off when McCullough was sidelined with injury... starting to think he's their most underrated player.

Personally far prefer a Manly NRL game than SOO - though its a good bbq/drinx night for me & the odd exciting game.
Thing is Clay - I started following Manly back in the 80's & there were many Seaeagle SOO rep players, both NSW & QLD....I always thought....damn we are blessed to have so many quality rep players, never heard the - "this is not fair - why do we have players that have to back up?"
The game was far more physically tough back then, but admittedly not so fast, but what I got out of it, was players from Manly, Parramatta & Bulldogs who dominated players in these rep teams - who never complained & got out there that following weekend - 3-4 days later, bash the opposition without a hitch & not need to look for that "we expect to drop points that part of year" excuse.

As for memes, following trends, Bennett in general - quite the opposite Clay - as a junior down Cronulla who supported Manly loud & proud, prefer to make my own tracks.....tbh its not just Bennett that gets me revved - up here in Qld - the general cry of double standards for the Broncos is sickening....in my world they get a pretty easy ride so maybe rings louder in my ears than most with these type of issues...

Anyone watch the presser. Funny stuff

    According to Wayne

    1. The Broncos have improved dramatically in the past week, despite having their largest ever loss at home.

    2. Their defence was excellent despite conceding 48 points. Of the 7 tries, 5 were from kicks so they are not defensive errors.

    3. The Broncos only lost because Corey Oates, a winger was injured.

Then a van appeared and the gentlemen in white coats escorted Wayne back to his aged care facility.

PS Are the broncos they only team who's captain and coach were born in the same year. Bennett and Parker both born in 1945.
