My only concern with last night’s game is that it feels as though it might have taken a send off for the side to finally show the sort of grit and determination required of them in all games. I wonder how the match would have played out if we had a full compliment of players...would they have rolled Souths? Because it didn’t look like happening in the first 10 minutes.

Totally agree. The adverse suffering will build what it takes far more than loud dressing room speeches at half time or full time.
When are the NRL going to get the techo thing we've been waiting on to judge on forward passes, we needed it on Friday night. That try would of put us only 2 behind, and with momentum.

I have to admit that I am torn with Jason Saab. I think he and Koula together on our right flank could form an absolutely lethal combination with their speed, if they can get quality ball in space. No one, and I mean no one ... not Addo-Carr or Coates, would catch either one IMO.
But in the past couple of weeks Saab has been caught out defensively which is obviously trying the patience of a lot of fans (maybe Des too, who knows??).
I still think all it would take would be for Saab to grab a couple of 90 metre intercepts or catch a couple of try scoring passes from DCE or Turbo, and he'd be back in everyone's good books (its amazing how fickle we all can be with players sometimes).
