They showed tonight us v Panthers Rd 25, 2014......Killer (who from my username you can tell I obviously love!) had THE WORST GAME I have ever seen him play. He threw 2 intercept passes......2 !!!! Which effectively threw the game away. There's about 3 mins left. He lifts and scores. Then he lifts again jumps up to regain a bomb.....passes whilst still falling.....and we score in the corner and win (Soward whinging and crying!!).
This was a Manly team....Killer a Manly legend. I remember this game, because Killer had a stinker (he only had 1 or 2) and yet he still somehow managed to overcome it and be the match winner. Whenever I want to point out to my son what a winner looks like I reference to him this game. A lesser man, goes and hides after throwing 2 intercepts.....and who would blame him??? A winner (which that era we had in spades at this once great club) doesn't.....he keeps doing the right things....keeps looking to get the ball in his hands....because he knows he will turn it around!
I think that is the sort of game and attitude this team needs to sit down and watch. To me we are a team going through the motions, lacking intensity and just hoping that maybe things will get better. They don't. You have to make it happen.
