I don't mind this, although obviously we have way more strike when he plays. Des wants him for the run home to the finals, and the injury he had is one that we definitely don't want to recur.
Aside from that, it's good for the team's mentality to go out and win without the superstar. They were doing it earlier in the year, and doubtless that is the mentality Des would want to encourage.

Yeah I did see that on FB today as well. Someone said they spoke with Monaghan today and mentioned that a few could be out with a virus. Hopefully nothing in it!

Betting markets have been up and down all day. I'd say it's fair to say that there could be a few things going on. Or Des just has everyone guessing!!

I agree it would be a shame this is a game we have a good chance to win.
Think dce and Jake will play just resting up from Wednesday night
Walker and AFB are the worries for mine if there going to be late changes or any concerns

Souths will be in a similar position so I doubt we will really know how things are looking until 2:30 tomorrow. Des was optimistic but pretty guarded in the media release - he chose words very carefully for most of his responses.
Regardless of the changes, if our determination and team cohesion are there we should be able to grind out a win

I agree and the club was very careful to post the training run photos later than normal and yes Des was very guarded I thought.in the presser.

I agree mate . Nothing great comes out of comfort zones

. You dont build resilience resting and tough circumstances breeds tough players

Just ask our 1978 premiership winning players who played about 10 games in 2 weeks to win the grand final .
