    I am so confused?

Can someone explain to me how we are close to the cap.

We let go of Matt Orford - 625k last year of this contact
    Le-strange- 120-150k
    Perry-200-250k
    Matai- 250k
    Cutherson- 120k

we only bought Joe and Ross in the forwards. We are carrying the similar team that won the premiership.

I want to know where the 1 million left over from players leaving have left.
I understand their has been upgrade to contacts but not 1million worth.

We need a new accountant if we are close to the cap.

Forans deal will be a massive difference to what he was on, I would guess a 250k upgrade

lyon, glen stewart, ballin and watmough resigned, expected bigger contracts than previous, i presume some of the cash went to players like whare, and a few young blokes who replaced them in the top 25. The cap is increasing in 2011 as well. Maybe we had a few on backended contracts as well.Orfords contract was finished so maybe the offer was a lot less than the 625 you have quoted.Hoppa was on big dollars for a young one as well from memory. As he has moved to the top 25 so has his earnings

Apart from that i dont know **** really

hodko was on nothing i reckon, he had a year out before we signed him

If we paid extra dollars for the crap Watmough dishes up we should organise a family BBQ for him and terminate his contract when he next fronts court.

I'm only guessing but I would think 350-400 would be close to the mark.

Then let him sign a lucrative contract in the UK. I'd prefer to see Lussick get a chance...and probably at $320k less.

We are going backwards because of the cap and winning the GF.

Have look at the past GF winners

    Broncos GF 2000 then 5th 2001, 3rd 2002, 8th 2003, 3rd 2004, 3rd 2005, 1st 2006 see below

    Knights GF 2001 then 2nd 2002, 7th 2003, 10th 2004, Last 2005, 4th 2006, 15th 2007, 9th 2008, 7th 2009.

    Roosters GF 2002 then Runners Up 2003, Runners up 2004, 9th 2005, 14th 2006, 10th 2007, 4th 2008, Last 2009.

    Panthers GF 2003 then 4th 2004, 10th 2005, 12th 2006, Last 2007, 12th 2008, 11th 2009

    Bulldogs GF 2004, 12th 2005, 2nd 2006, 6th 2007, Last 2008, 2nd 2009.

    Tigers 2005, 11th 2006, 9th 2007, 10th 2008, 9th 2009.

    Broncos 2006, 8th 2007, 5th 2008, 6th 2009.

    *Storm 2007*, 2nd 2008, GF Winner.

    Manly 2008, 5th 2009.

    *Storm 2009*

I question the Broncos but all other teams have struggled with 2001 to 2004 winners coming last within the following years.

The Tigers have missed the 8 every year after their GF win.

The Storm will come last next year.

Ha ha I guess the alternative would be Saints strategy of always being near the top while never actually winning, and thus retaining a strong roster. No thanks.

Exactly - once you win the comp your penalised because contracts will increase for premeirship players.

I have to question the Broncos & Dragons thou
