Casting an eye over posts on Silvertails in the last couple of weeks (admittedly not stopping to read most of them) it is astonishing to me that only 29.2% feel pessimistic.
Could of sworn 80% of the posts are extremely pessimistic. I guess those poeple must just post more often.

After a week of seemingly positivity with signings etc one would expect this positivity should translate into a barnstorming win against a maligned Roosters. If not, one should have every right to be feeling pessimistic, i.e. too much talk and hype vs running hard and tackling hard on game day. I am expecting a big win

Watching the players joy at the full time wistle gave my optimism a jump start ... even the tiger brothers Kelma and Josh A were dancing and hugging on the sideline ... great signs .

Manly has a very tough run home - let's see if consistently good performances are possible. Surely, it is time to introduce more skill in the forwards, reduce the middles by one & promote GCKT.

Just took a glance at the ladder (which I don't do much, it's not very informative this year given the draw and all the byes etc) and am reminded that but for one incorrect call way back in R3 ... Manly would be on 23 points and solidly in the 8, while Souths (many people's favourites to win this year's comp) would be back on 20 points!

Manly does need to string a few wins together and is capable of doing that. On the other hand a few more losses and morale might sag and the season could again end in depressing fashion. Keeping the team focussed and positive at this crunch part of the year will tell us a lot about Seibold and his prospects here going forward.

Apart from the top 2 it’s such a lottery each week so anything could happen but I think you are right , a couple more losses and it’ll be over for another year ( if it isn’t already ) and thier heads will drop.

I just changed. I keep having this vision of Lodge taking on a leadership role at Manly, goes like this:
Lodge: "Ok everyone, it's halfway through the season, time to mope or play up or whatever we can think of to get out of this joint and finish the season at a new club"
(maybe nightmare is a better description than vision, but that's the gist)
