Apparantly Matai is out for 3 or 4 weeks???

So... I don't see an obvious option like we would've had last year of bringing in Burns & the pig-shooter moving back to the three-quarter line. Will Des play it safe & go for the experience of Vaeliki, or even safer & go Beaver there? Or, how happy has he been with Neuman's progress?

From the reports I've read on Vaeliki's ability these days, I don't feel safe with him there.  :'(

I have not seen Vaeliki play for years but a lot has been based on the fact that he was easily run down when put in the clear by Perry in the first trial. More evidence is needed. It could be experience versus young talent. Des tends to go for experience in those situations.

Beaver hurt his neck during the Warriors trial. I saw him today and he looked good but was moving his neck as if it was bothering him a little. Hall looked like a Mallee bull so I am looking forward to great year from him. Most of the lads looked fresh and ready.

The snake may take up to week 3 to be fit - he wasn't sure when i spoke to him on Sat night. Robbo will play at FB for week 1.

Matai has up to 2 months to go until his shoulder is good - and Vaeleki look pretty good to me, massive fend.

Josh Perry impressed me heaps and looks like a meat axe

Also Jamie Lyon has lost about 15kgs and looks super fit, when i asked how much weight he had lost he said \"was i fat\" LOL pretty funny
