Seeing that stadium australia is basically insolvent I assume that the governments will be putting up the money for this.Â
$150m would improve a lot of surburban grounds and be a better use of the money than spending it on a white elephant for one game.Â

Yokohama Stadium, which held the final when the WC was in Japan has a running track around the outside of the field. The field area would have to be similar size to Stadium Australia at the moment, it only holds 70,000 people though.
