We don't really have any young Fainu's coming through this year - kids we've been watching for a couple of years who are pretty clearly earmarked for stardom - but one way or another there will be someone who makes a bit more of a splash than expected.

Who will it be?

My tip - Burbo

He's tipped to get a starting spot in r1 mainly because of Schu's misfortunes, but I think he may hold down a position in the 17 all season and be quite a standout for Manly this year.

Didn't set the world on fire in attack but we didn't have much good ball possession. Maybe I'm over selling it but he was solid in a well beaten side.

Agree with first two posts, Burbo to step up and make the left edge spot his own and Humphries provide some spark off the bench and in the halves during origin.

I understand why they’ve gone with Lawton for game 1 but there’s a heap more upside in Humphreys.

And at centre Faulolo will only get a start with injuries or if Paulo doesn’t deliver, both could happen.

We can only hope, promises so much every season, could this be his year. Was going to say breakout season, but he's been here a while now to say this.

I'm going to come out of left field and suggest Ethan Bullemor. He massively improved throughout last year and I believe he'll become a critical part of our performances in the second part of each half.

Up until about a month ago many here were tipping Gordie to seriously improve Manly this year. That's gone quiet pretty quickly!
