Hey guys, not to be one of those people and it's a bit last minute but I was wondering if anyone on ST could help me out?

My dad's mum (my nan) just passed away this morning and I want to take him down to the football with my brother to get everyone's mind off things for a bit. Does anyone know how I could go about getting 3 seated tickets together in a reasonably accessible part of the stadium?

He's a diehard and used to take me when I was a kid when stuff wasn't going so well at home (used to take me down when I was young and mum was going through cancer/terminal illness) so I want to repay the favour and get his mind off things for a couple of hours.

He's had a stroke and is disabled so generally can't stand for long, he hasn't been able to go in years. I was thinking of getting 3 tickets with my brother so we can take take him down to the game this arvo but I haven't been to Brookie since they had the old scoreboard on the North Hill and have no idea where to find 3 accessible seats tickets this late.

I'm not after free tickets or anything, even just a tip on any section and row that's available which would be easily accessible. He's got paralysis down the left hand side and is getting on a bit himself so he can't walk all that far and wouldn't be able to stand on the hill.

Sorry if this is off topic just a bit rattled and can't figure out the Ticketmaster site for the life of me, any help or tips would be much appreciated.

Cheers boys.

That looks like the Rainbow jersey , we lost !

Thank you for posting and I am sorry to hear about your families loss @Nike .
Sounds like your Dads Mum was a great lady and would have left lots of great inspiring moments to keep you all in good stead . The Greatest thing we can all leave behind to our loved ones is the Legacy of love and inspiration .
As far as game tickets go there are all sold but maybe @The Wheel can assist
Can you assist here @The Wheel ?

If it was during business hours maybe but unfortunately on game day too hard to contact today. Plus as you said sold out I doubt there would be 3 free seats available anyway.

No stress guys I appreciate all the kind words and information greatly. My brother and I will take him down to the local pub to watch so no biggie, thought I'd see if I was missing anything on the Ticketmaster site.

Thanks again :)

Sorry to read of your nan's passing. Under the circumstances, I think going to your local pub/club is the best idea for your dad, where you can get ideal seats and probably have a better view than at the game. Go Manly!

Nice sentiments @ALinda
But No circumstances can Surpass the surreal atmosphere of a Manly game day on our spiritual home ground
Have a happy day feathered friend

Hope everyone can be on their game this afternoon and really compete for the full 80 .
Huge upside to jag a win today in so many ways

I really don't like our chances after last weeks dismal performance but obviously a good win here will erase all of that in a big way. If we can't beat this team at home on such a special occasion (DCE) and without Cleary we will most likely struggle to make the 8 this year.

Putting last weeks nightmare aside I am trying my best to look at our positives which include - same 17 as last week so our combinations should improve. Sipley is a huge plus coming off the bench. It is not far off our strongest team minus Saab and Lodge. I am assuming that our poor handling and goal line defence were the main focus this week so surely we will be on the ball this time round.

We really need to use our speedsters more effectively and also get some of our big boys running at pace, particularly Olakau'atu and Paseka and quick play the balls to build some momentum.

I feel that we really need to get off to an early lead 10-12 points and put the Panthers playmakers under pressure and force some errors as they chance their hands playing catch up football.

So ultimately if we keep our completions up around the 80% mark and play an up tempo game the points will come. And these bloody 6 agains are killing us. We can't afford to turn over possession cheaply against the Panthers. If we use up most of our juice defending our errors we are bound to give away a few six agains like last week.

I won't be watching this one but I might try and find a radio broadcast online.

On our best day we are capable of matching it with the heavyweights but we really need our big 3 to shine today - Turbo, DCE and Brooks.

So in conclusion, assuming we bring our A+ game today then I will tip us to win by around 28-16 with Cleary out and maybe a DCE field goal in his Ultimate Milestone match.

29-16

We haven't a hope in hell of winning this. We just don't have a team that has the ability to beat the best team of the last 30 to 40 years.

I suspect @The Royal Soup will be blowing up on the game day thread within the first 5 minutes.

I give us a sniff today

We have to get a better share of possession and limit errors.

With a big crowd anything is possible

Panthers will have to be slightly off there own game for us to have a chance

Surely we dont play that bad 2 weeks in a row
