Sadly enough Cliffy was generally a failure in the SOO series he played. But a fantastic club player.

It is hard to argue with the selections. Each name brings back memories of titanic struggles. Gary Jack is possibly the only one who doesn't stand out, but a great selection all the same.

Brett Kenny and Terry Lamb were the two 5/8s that got the mention in the Cliffy era. Cliffy never cemented a spot though got his run and was never outstanding. His style of play didn't suit the players around him though his heroics in winning an Ashes series underlined his brilliance!
