Today's gutless performance reminds me on losing to Wests in the 2nd last round of 1988. We were sitting pretty in the Top 3 and took on the wooden spoon side and lost. We were bundled into 4th place and rolled by a rampant Tigers side.
Had we finished Top 3 that year I still maintain we'd have won the Premiership. The Bulldogs were no great shakes.Â
Twenty years later we've done the same - drop a game to a woeful side that could have dire ramifications for us within weeks. So much for meeting the Storm in the GF. We might meet them a week earlier yet.
