Ryan, it was game 1.
We had injuries, a rookie half, the worst ref in the NRL officiating and we couldn't hold the ball. It wasn't by any stretch a good start but I'm not slitting my wrists just yet.

Seemed like round 29 to me. Same average rubbish as last year, with too many "gangsta's" in our team, and not enough heart.

I told you all how this would turn out. First win will be when Williams heads out of the centres, and we man up injury wise.

ryan, its not that we dissagree with you its just that we are all too busy waiting for vaeleki to be that superstar you kept talking about
Yeah - ok, I agree.....but he was pretty good at one point. Funnily, so was David Williams.

Choc did  alot of good stuff but he needs to get the errors out of his game.
Watmough gives me the s**ts, he has way too many errors in his game. Not only that he makes them at crucial times of the game. 2 of his errors lead to 2 tries against us.
how did 2 errors lead to 2 tries when the scum scored 2 tries directly on the back of penalties?
Have a look as see who gave away the penalty.
a penalty is not an error. Given the blast on gallop our guys are going to get more scruitinised it appears
a penalty is not an error?????????

It's an error that is penalised.
its a penalty, logged as something completelty different

sorry that is so confusing

At least Souths look in a worse position then us, Burgess might need surgery on his shoulder, Geddes out for the season, Ben Lowe out for 2 months and GI looks like a bust.

Melbourne werent exactly setting the world on fire in attack. Could have been a nasty scoreline if we came up against a better attacking team with the amount of ball we handed over near halfway. Then we'd all really be tearing up

Defence is the only thing that I can see has improved.

Agreed, there was no lack of commitment or structure in defence.

Many stumbles in attack & many points of frustrated momentum. DCE's kicking game provided a few. Injuries likewise. Chocs errors aswell.

How come when we play **** like we have since the gf or should I say wcc we can always find a way to include the refs in the blame. Time to realise the refs are not our problem our problem is cast offs. Seu seu, the preacher, are not first grade standard who would sign them? and then i come to big george he is not fit enough to play park football. Since our peak in the gf our recruiting has gone backwards and the people who got big increases in pay have not delivered. Kite, and Stewart (glenn) were top class in any era in our run to the title yet since I wouldn't feed them. Every team that wins a comp or atleast competes either has a top class half or 5/8 yet for the second year in a row we are going with a half with l plates and a 5/8 who on his performances is not top class. I blame recruitment, if we are at the limit of the salary cap then somebody is getting way overs

Dude - exactly - people aren't putting this into perspective. Imagine tonight vs. The Roosters or the The Dragons....

I'd rather not think about that.

Why is a peanalty given - because an error has been deemed to be made by the ref.

What???
he should have said "a penalty is when an error is deemd by the ref to have been made"

which is right sometimes, sometimes its an error, sometimes its a professional foul,

and sometimes its nothing depends on the refs interpretation of the rules.

The only error is not having the exact same interpretation of the rules that the ref has for your team

Can anyone see us scoring at all next week. **** if we could only get 6 against the Storm who were pretty average then a big fat zero next week. Fair dinkum how can anyone think that George Rose is fit enough for firsts. He is a barrell and should not be there.

We've had 4 months to prepare for round 1 just like all the other teams and
so far we seem to be the only team with no variety in attack. Lots of 1 out running and a few inside passes back into the ruck seems to be about all we can do.
Only had to watch 10 mins of the stgeorge gc game to see more ball movement.
Surely in round 1 we've gotta be able to do more or atleast attempt it having had the of season to prepare

We lost our first few games in '08 if I remember correctly - lets have some perspective people. I don't think we will take out the comp but the fact is we were playing a team with a point to prove, we will win more than we lose i am sure of that.

Geeze I hope I am wrong with that prediction
