Lol, everyone bagging Klemmer who made 139m a game on average in 2023 with a 98% tackle efficiency

Maybe hasn’t been in enough trouble off the park to be considered any good
Did not run the 139m fast tho @Kiwi Eagle lol

Personally I thought he went hard in the couple of tigpies games I watched…

Plus he would fit right in with our side as they all have something in common - they all hate Jackson Hastings…

Klemmer can play but at $750k, not for me. Lodge apparently on $600k and I rate better than Klemmer, for $750k better bet would be Saifiti or Leo Thompson. Tigers in swap deal for Fulton and we pick up $400k and we can talk.

Yeah $750K is probs a bit more than I thought tbf - if tigpies picked up $150 of it I would be keen tho as he is a quality prop which we still do not have…
I think the comparisons with Wood are unfair going on how he played the games I watched…

My friend I hope the only time you watch the tigers is when they play us! If not, sorry, you're getting committed! 🚑

Metres gained is not telling the whole story. Paul Gallen used to take 20+ hit ups a game and over 200m regularly, but it was just workrate stuff and he stifled the team’s momentum in attack.

Klemmer’s hit ups are like Jake’s…slow and ineffective. He might make a number of them a game and accumulate some yardage but that’s not what we need at Manly. We need uptempo and ruck speed. We ain’t getting that from Klem. The Tigers have quite a dynamic pack and can afford to carry a player with a workrate approach to the game. It’s horses for courses.

I still think he's a decent frontrower, Kiwi, and would offer more than our current options. At the same time, I agree that he's probably not the answer for an NRL team struggling to find its footing in 2024. For me, it goes to show how much the game has changed, as well as how slowly our forwards and recruiters have been to adapt.

Klemmer reminds me of a washed and polished vehicle in a dodgy newsed car yard.
Reads like this;
  • 2013 model
  • reconditioned engine
  • 3 owners
  • 450Km on the clock
  • All reasonable offers looked at
potential buyer looks at the clock, shakes his head slowly, then moves onto the next one...
But wait
There’s more
