So there are a heap of kids named Tallis getting around and I've taught a couple (first names) called Slater. But I teach a kid called Matai at the moment named after Steve, not a Polynesian kid either. Anyone else got any news of kids named after Rugby League players?

It might not be to long and there will be some first name Turbo's getting around.

My son has two dogs, called Menzies and Brookie. Does that count?
I can't see the name Beaver catching on for daughters, though.

My son's name is Ballin, after the great man's first try in the '08 GF. How I talked my Parramatta supporting wife into agreeing to it, I'll never know.

@wheel named his boys after manly players.

Brett and Scott I believe their names are after his heroes the Fulton brothers or maybe it was after the Gale brothers? Not sure

That's awesome. If that kid was in my class I might have to have a meeting with the Principal to justify the straight A's.

I mentioned this the other day on here: back in the 80's my old man named a cat "Ribot" after a Manly winger, as he felt that John was somewhat feline like in his football..

And no, he didn't move like a stalking tiger.. More like a "FKN GIANT CAT OF A PLAYER" or something along those lines lol..

I named my kid Kieran because a colourful Sydney identity told me they'd kneecap me if I didn't.
