Quite interesting looking back at the list of Dally M winners of the last 20 years. Those who have not been involved in scandal of one sort or another are very much a minority. As for Hayne, his NRL career is well and truly finished.

Jayne is not currently an NRL contracted player. Eels contract ran out last year ... not NRL's problem. Greenspooge dodges a bullet ... Just de Bellend, Walks, Musgrove, Moga, CheeKam ...

DESpicable Manly
Seems to me that the NRL has forgotten about him. He's due to re-appear in court on April 3 charged with aggravated sexual assault, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years jail.
Why hasn't he been stood down?

He isnt registered with any NRL club, so he currently has nothing to do with them. Nor do they want the publicity.

So unless someone is trying to sign him (which I doubt at the moment) they will steer clear.

Hayne also charged with sexual intercourse without consent:

Hayne will reportedly today be served with a second charge relating to an alleged incident of sexual assault of a Newcastle woman in September last year.
Fairfax reports that the new charge — sexual intercourse without consent — is in relation to the same incident for which Hayne was last year charged with aggravated sexual assault inflicting actual bodily harm.

The double Dally M medallist pleaded not guilty to original charge levelled in November last year, and is set to appear in Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday.

  1. The alleged incident occurred on NRL Grand Final night, when an intoxicated Hayne allegedly travelled to the 26-year-old woman’s house north of Newcastle after the pair had been communicating on social media.

Backdown: Eels soften stance on Gutherson deadline

In a brief court appearance in December last year, Hayne’s lawyer Leo Premutico said the former Parramatta Eels fullback “maintains his innocence and maintains he will be pleading not guilty”.

“He’d like at this time to thank those who have offered him support, in particular his parents, his mother and father” Premutico told the court.

The Eels had shown interest in re-signing Hayne under their limited salary cap at the end of last season, but backed away from the star after the original charges were levelled late last year. St George Illawarra also indicated interest in the star before the charges, then offered a new deal to Matt Dufty to shore up their fullback stocks.

Peter Beattie will stand him down from the San Francisco falcons under the new ARU policy he and Terry introduced.

Jarryd provided us with some of the best moments in rugby league in the last 15 years. What a great player
I wouldn’t expect some of you imbeciles on ST to agree

At his peak Jarryd was mesmerizing . He had all the attributes , speed , power , creativity and could do anything on the field to win games on his own

Some very disturbing charges against him though .

He is pleading not guilty just like Snake and Dylan so will see what eventuates .
