Will Laurie Daley coach the Blues in 2018?

  • Yes - He did end the streak after all...

  • No - 1 series out of 5 isn't good enough

Cannot believe people are suggesting Johns and Fittler twiddle de and twiddle dumb. NSW needs inspiration not a comedy act won't do it but someone like Belly ache.
Bellyache had a crack at it and failed.
Plus he has said coaching origin is not for him.

Laurie is too busy looking after his mates. 3 fullbacks in the same side and not one specialist centre - madness! Hayne was a match winner okay but for Queensland in games 2 and 3. Time for a change.

The biggest reason to move him on is he won't change the players.
It will be the same team, losing the same way
Need some fresh blood and that should come from picking the Inform players.
Not your bum buddies like Hayne, Fergo etc.
If Api keeps his form up he has to be NSW hooker.
Players if still in form like Mansour, Turbo, Walker , Vaughn have to be picked.

meanwhile in a few years, in a parallel galaxy the NSW SOO squad comprises

Trent Barrett coach (motivator of men and ex NSW rep)

1 James Tedesco
2 Josh Ado Carr
3 Dylan Walker
4 Alex Johnson
5 Bevan French
6 Matt Moylan
7 Ivan Cleary (gk)
8 David Klemmer
9 Api Koroisau

Cordner to bounce back after shocker in game 3 - 2017
Larry Dooley, Mitchell (woof woof) Pearce, James (Past Use By Date) Maloney, Aron (never was as good as he could have been), and Andrew (thick as two short planks) Fatfita banished. Ferguson, Duggan and Morris all put out to pasture for younger faster models, their past efforts duly noted.

Pearce has gotta go... Ferguson and morris have got to go... Dugan was the only back with any spark but unless hes playing fullback hes not effective...
Not sure on tedesco, was great game 1 then not to be seen the rest of the series...

Feel bad for maloney.. Had to try carry the entire attack and tried way too hard

I'd rather see

Geez dont bring him back.

He was the worst ever NSW coach and the stats prove it. He won 1 or 2 games in 3 years.

Myth.

The clock is so far past midnight surely the sun will rise soon, surely.

Game 1 we won comfortably but showed some cracks - Daley makes no changes to anything (people, game plan etc). QLD change this to improve their weak areas NSW exploited.

Game 2 QLD react to our game plan exploit cracks and win - Daley makes no changes to anything again, QLD know this so spend more time coming up with a better plan for game 3. NSW no longer have the weak area to exploit as QLD have changed/improved.

Game 3 was all over as NSW were playing like game 1 with no changes.

Dugan and Fergo should have been replaced after game 1 where they were poor by Walker and either TT or Mansour, Frizel needed to get back to the edge where he was effective last year for Graham who is too hot and cold for Origin. Jake to lock and Vaughen to prop. Hayne to wing for Morris or dropped altogether, he is not a centre.

"Ivan cleary" - are we are that desperate we need him to come out of retirement ;)

IMO those who should never be seen again as a player or coach in Origin are:

Laurie Daley, Mitchell Pearce, Jarryd Hayne, Aaron Woods.

Daley, Pearce and Hayne I can see gone. Woods I'm not so sure about. I think that he has a love affair with the selectors.....

Can we add Ferguson to that list. Defensively he was poor, and NSW isnt short of options on the wing.

NSW dominated in the forwards in game 1 and Game 2 - our halves were given an armchair ride into the games and Every possible hope to win easily ....we ended up 1 win and 1 loss.

No shocks that when our forwards didn't do the job anymore and our halves had to get it done off the back foot we were 'thousands'.

Aaron Woods has always been a myth (of mythical proportions may I say ) , but that aside you cant blame the forwards overall and they mostly got it done and most of those I'd retain. A few of them were busted in the lead up last night and it showed, but did the job prior. The series should have ended in Sydney.

New coach, new halfback & 1 prop who bends the line and doesn't worry about his hair.....and that will do me.

How's this for an 'out of left field' idea.
Wally Lewis and Alfie Langer, at least then there would then be no suggestions of lacking the QLD 'passion'.

NSW need a whole change of identity and culture. Stop picking players in positions they haven't performed in, stop picking players based on past performances from years ago. Pick the form players, not the grubs or the dirty players.

My plan I'd like to see NSW implement.

Johns/Fittler co-coaches

1 Trbojevic
2 Mansour
3 Walker
4 Jennings
5 Mitchell
6 Moylan
7 Cleary (gk)
8 Vaughan
9 Koroisau
10 Trbojevic (c)
11 Cordner (c)
12 Graham (vc)
13 Bird

14 Peachy
15 Jackson
16 James
17 Merrin
I tend to agree. Really, i don't really understand how Hayne made it into the side, he has been here there and everywhere and just strolls into the NSW side as if its a no brainer. Hayne had not even been in the country or the code for that matter. Give the younger guys a crack, as what have the blues to loose. Moylan is devastating this year.I think players like Hayne and many others become a selling tool for state off origin and quite frankly should not be there."The Hayne plane", yea put him in the side that will work. Before the blues ever win another series admin has to get their sh....t together.State of origin is not about 1 game its about 3.They must think its more about selling the series than winning the series and as a matter off fact i think NSW has sold out. This is what i hate more about origin than our very own getting injured. The whole code is full of political bull crap. As long as politics is running the code then things will not change.I think it's becoming who you know and how much money can be made out off each individual. Its amazing how players can turn around and say i am going to play union now then afl then nfl then whatever and come ponsing back to league as if they have been there all along while we have other up and coming good players flat out trying to get passed reserve grade. This is why i love Manly because despite all that is read in the media we at least do our best to look after our own and any other player that comes up the ranks including players that join our club.Origin is NOT like that.Origin and clubs are opposites.

Tom and Mansour will be first picked.
