Nothing has been said by the club or the NRL but only from the media
So your attitude will sway in the breeze, depending which way the club or maybe NRL goes. Yeah, no surprise there @:D

Looking forward to bringing this thread up in 6 months time to demonstrate what a storm in a tea cup this all is..
According to some on here if they have their way the NRL would be the first sport likely to introduce a post try celebration policy. Nanny state here we come.
A split between the old mates? Woodsie joining the bedwetters, petticoats, broomsticks, pansies and rednecks? No doubt you can handle it, and Chuckee can handle the split no doubt, but what about the kids? Have you thought about what this may mean for the likes of @highlandeagle and @Red Pill ... who will they side with?
ha ha agreeing to disagree is always cool with me… I could even do that with you.. but I suspect you would prefer to cancel out opinions like mine.. as a token of goodwill here is a nice pic of flowering pansies.

Haumole has been my favourite player this year but this is just not a good look. Two women were killed in a gang shooting in Sydney just yesterday and it’s been a worsening problem for years now. You’re footy players, there’s zero need to get involved or to follow this ****

I remember Aloiai saying after the Easter show stabbing that we needed to stamp out all the gang violence. I get they’re his mates but if he was that passionate about it he’d be telling the boys to pull their heads in. But given recent events I can’t see him doing this.

Someone like Joe Galuvao would be perfect to bring into the club as a mentor for these boys as they definitely aren’t heading down the right path
Gee I wish I'd expressed my free will and lost causes when I was a kid. Oh yeah, I did, and I looked as embarrassingly stupid as kids do today.
Give em a break.

There's currently association laws in relation to gangs so the NRL would be fine using those laws to come down hard on anything related to gangs.
Perhaps it's time to bring those laws to the forefront, use this opportunity to tighten them up and give them some teeth.

I don't want to block young kids growing up in difficult environments from a potential escape from gang activity. At the same time as strengthening the rules around this, I'd like to see the NRL create effective and proactive programs to help kids in those environments. We know there are certain individuals doing their thing in the communities (like JoshA), but I'd like to see the NRL pour some serious resources into it. The understanding is that with the support for any player who enters the NRL there must be a cut from any previous gang ties. And this includes any form of gang, from right-wing white power groups to bikies to western burb postcodes.

You mean the same way they showed their support for their friends and team mates by boycotting the rooster’s game?
The same thing would happen in the marketing team put a cross on our jersey for Easter promotion

The same marketing team that just went ahead with the rainbow promotion without consultation with the players or approval from the board
Thats what I mean feathered friend

Deflection Bozo. We are not discussing the marketing team. We are discussing what it means to be a member of a team. Address the issue if you would like me to take you seriously. On the one hand you scream out that all is fair in love and war when supporting a team mate, but then in another context, you contradict your argument and suddenly it's ok to abandon your team mates. So, which one is it?

We are discussing the full story and not just part of it and the marketing team played a big part of the mess

I love you too feathered friend and I meant what I wrote

We all have the right to freedom of speech
Then perhaps you need to read my post again more carefully. I agreed with you. I AGREE WE ALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH. What I added is that with any choice (freedom) comes responsibility for making that choice (called free will) and the consequences that come with it (inevitable part of being human beings and reliant on socialisation).

What consequences should some one face if they express their views ?
Before you answer just remember that we are living in Australia and not Noth Korea
