G'day everyone,
Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a Manly fan since I was a kid; I grew up on the Northern Beaches but now live in Canberra.
I've named myself "61-0" after the most memorable match I ever attended at Brookie (vs St George in '94, for those too young to remember). I think that's one of the "were you there when?" matches. I was sitting on the concourse where the Ken Arthurson stand now is. It was standing room only that day and being 4 foot tall back then (I was 10), pretty much the only thing I could see was the scoreboard!
'94 was a great season, the start of the glory years.
Anyway, I was proud to take my family to the Grand Final last Sunday, including my three-year-old daughter in her Manly jersey. While I've seen Manly play in the flesh many many times, it was actually my first Grand Final, so a wonderful experience.
I look forward to posting more on this excellent forum.
