Composure:

That was the big take away I saw today and DCE provided that.
I think having Turbo and Brooks playing gave DCE the opportunity to control the match more effectively, as those two could control the attack by themselves for many plays.

Let's hope we continue to play 2024 with composure.

What I liked was the composure in the team after those two tries after halftime. I always felt we could fight our way back and we did. This team is smelling like 2021 but Tommy isnt the be all anymore, and it's such a relief seeing this today.

Saab's early set carries had me most excited.

Such an improvement in that area from him.

Brooks straight running as well. We haven't had that, with that intensity, for a long time.

After watching "The Manly Way" doco and how Seibs focused on getting them united, the unity seemed evident in the way the played.

Something that hasn't been noted I believe, with a crowd of 40k, that would be the largest crowd experienced by all players bar DCE, Turbo and Jake (Origin) and Paulo and Brown (GF's). We seemed very composed and the players didn't lose their heads under the lights.

Brooks is going to setup a good combo with the likes of of burbo, we are going to see some outstanding Menzies style lines run from.our back row on the left edge.

Brooks knowing he doesn't have to do it all himself and dce being able to also relax a bit is a huge combination for us.

With that said, our defence is pretty **** on the edges
