When I saw the article about the 87 GF luncheon I wondered if anyone knows what happened for former reserve grade / first grade prop Richie Paulsen? He came from Casino in Northern NSW and played for Manly mid eighties.

I certainly do remember Richie, never really made it as a 1st grade player. Was a bit small but nver tooka backward step.

Don't know what happened to him after he left Mnaly, I have a feeling that he went up and played in Qld -but I could be wrong.

Richie played about 40 first grade games between '85 and '88, scoring 2 tries. No idea what happened to him after that.

I also remember Richie Poulson . From memory he played alongside the likes of Mark Pocock & Mark Brokenshire. I also am led to believe he headed up north after his playing days at Manly. He was working at the NAB in Manly when he was playing for the eagles. I worked with him a few times. He seemed like a decent bloke.

I think he may have captain coached in the group 1 comp for a few years (possibly for Casino)
