Des always seems to relish the idea that his team is the underdog!
So what?
Is it just another smurfy to talk to the press without talking about his team?

Its because we thrive on not being given a chance. Under the Radar/ Underdogs, it all works in our favor and Des knows it.

Everyone loves an underdog in Australia.

it's just keeping the pressure off of us. Just one of those "keep the attention on them and the pressure on them to beat us, give us motivation to win it"

Especially with Manly whenever we go in clear favourites we often struggle, this way we have more to play for
