    Very sad news. Danny was a teacher at St Augustines and has battled cancer for the past 10 years. His son is in year 11.

    Met his brother when Des brought him into the class back when he was my teacher. Seemed to be the nicer brother. Rest in peace.

    From the subject line i was sure it was going to be a cynical thread about Des and his Doggies.
    On a side note though, does it really need to be announced to the public that the brother of a head coach has passed? I dont know his brother and neither did any league fan either probably.

    I'm pretty sure my son was coached at Barker by Des' brother. But I don't think it was Danny.

    At any rate, my deepest sympathies to Des and his family.
