I know we’ve gotta get past the Dragons first but Cleary expected to be out for up to a month with a hamstring injury. That bodes well for round 5!
Also Scott Sorensen also out for a month with a knee injury.

but as you said that’s next week worries we have to focus on beating the dragons

The Panthers have suffered a huge blow with Nathan Cleary to be ruled out of the blockbuster against the Roosters with a hamstring injury.

Cleary, who left the field with nine minutes remaining of their thumping win over the Broncos in the grand final rematch, will miss the clash against the other premiership heavyweights on Thursday night.

It’s the second time in as many years Cleary has suffered a hamstring problem after missing the final two matches of last year’s State of Origin series.

Brad Schneider was a late withdrawal from the Panthers’ NSW Cup match with the Bulldogs on Saturday and could make his club debut at Allianz Stadium.

The Panthers are hoping Cleary’s injury is not on the serious side and he will only miss a small number of matches. They play the Sea Eagles after the Roosters clash before having a bye in round six.

But coach Ivan Cleary is resigned to losing back-rower Scott Sorensen for a month with a knee injury.

Channel 9 said Cleary has a minor strain and is looking at missing this weeks game and hopefully coming back for Manly game

Drama Queen Moses out for 6-12 weeks with a broken foot..

Parramatta has been rocked with halfback Mitch Moses ruled out for up to three months with a fractured foot.
Moses underwent scans on Monday and is expected to undergo surgery sometime this week.

Medical diagnosis suggests Moses will miss six to 12 weeks.

There is a theory that Moses’ return could be around eight weeks.

Losing Moses for potentially half the season is a crippling blow for the Eels.

It is understood Moses sustained the injury against Manly at CommBank Stadium on Sunday.

Moses’ absence comes after Nathan Cleary was ruled out for four with a hamstring injury suffered in last week’s grand final replay against Brisbane.

It could leave NSW short of options heading into the Origin campaign.

Parramatta coach Brad Arthur will name his side on Tuesday for Easter Monday’s big game against Wests Tigers at Accor Stadium.

Rising star Ethan Sanders is a possible replacement for Moses.

NSW Cup five-eighth Daejarn Asi is another option for Arthur as is Brendan Hands.

If chosen, Sanders would make his NRL debut a week after another young gun, centre Blaize Talagi debuted for Parramatta.

Moses was securing medical advice on Monday and did appear at Parramatta headquarters.

Parramatta will welcome centre Bailey Simonsson and winger Mika Sivo back this week from injury and suspension.

Talagi and Morgan Harper are expected to be dropped.

Parramatta defeated Manly on Sunday and have now won two from their opening three games.

Moses’ form over the opening rounds has been stellar although he injured his groin in round one.

Parramatta and Wests Tigers were last round winners and should attract a big crowd at Sydney Olympic Park.

This one has him out for 4, NRL 360 also said 4, but you never know..

The Penrith Panthers have been rocked by a hamstring injury to superstar halfback Nathan Cleary on the eve of Thursday night’s blockbuster against the Sydney Roosters.
Cleary is expected to be sidelined for up to a month after scans confirmed the untimely injury.

Cleary made an early exit from last week’s win against Brisbane but the club hosed down injury concerns at the time.

But the first sign of trouble came after back-up playmaker Brad Schneider was withdrawn from the NSW Cup side on Saturday.

Penrith officials confirmed over the weekend that Schneider was ruled out with illness. Schneider is now likely to be named alongside Jarome Luai on Tuesday.

Nathan Cleary is expected to miss up to a month of football.

Cleary missed rounds 15 to 20 last year and Origin game III with a grade two hamstring tear.

It comes as two top dogs in Lindsay Collins and James Fisher-Harris were also ruled out.

Fisher-Harris is deemed a “week-to-week” proposition after picking up a shoulder injury in round two against Parramatta but the prop is unlikely to be available this week after the club granted him permission to travel back to New Zealand on compassionate grounds.

Veteran Scott Sorensen expected to spend a significant stint on the sidelines with a knee injury.

Coach Ivan Cleary will once again turn to Lindsay Smith to start up front alongside Moses Leota.

Cleary was grabbing his hammy in the sheds after the broncos game while talking to Ivan… I suspected he had twinged it but bloody hell, he walked around the sheds shaking hands with every player before that and you would not have been able to tell anything was wrong… kid has no tells…

We need to keep our heads down and be focused.

With Cleary and Sorenson out, Walsh, Haas and Reynolds out, Moses out, souths in a mess we really have a chance to push forward and hopefully position ourself for a run to the top 4.
