The jersey and shots look full sponsorwise. Memberships went up from the seasons before and now the last piece of the puzzle the crowds coming back to brookvale.

One thing is clear this bloke can never be lost to another club again.

It was a perfect match a coach in no mans land trying to resurrect a coaching career, and reputation almost destroyed by the bulldogs, and a team lost in the NRL wilderness. In less than a season we have gone from a team pitied to a team being hated due to success again. The NRL world is back in balance again. As Homer Simpson would say "lets not fight again" (by the way hows that born and bred bulldog culture going?)

What about the Dogs, they sack Des because of the ordinary results, nek minut, fight for the wooden spoon because they now know it wasn't Des who were sh1t, it was them... hahaha onlyatthekennel ROFLMAO

Des may have been not so good for the last 2 years at the Dogs.

He had spent 8 years with Manly and then 6 with the Dogs. 14 years straight in a highly demanding and draining 12 hour a day job.
The last 2 of those years he probably NEEDED the break he finally got.

A year off and now back home he is reinvigorated and ready to go again.

Yes, he should stay on here until he needs another break.

Geez there was a lot of des butt hurt on here for many years. Some people went way over the top with the des hate when he first switched and really held some A class grudges. It was pretty ugly at times. Hopefully time will mend all the butthurt buttheads .

I don't know about being hated again. So many people I speak to say they enjoy watching Manly play at the moment and hope they go further into the season playing the way they are.

There is a lot of hate from a lot of the bulldog supporters, not to mention that they were laughing at us for bringing Dessie back last year. What would really totally piss them off to no end is if we win a premership under Dessie and they could not. Parra envy us due to the quick turn around in our teams success where Arthur's coaching is being questioned by a lot of their supporters.

thing is the bad years at the dogs were when the board tried to rebuldog the joint. they stripped away the mad professors backroom team putting in doggie type blokes. there was even someone else doing the roster wasnt there???
