I dont think some here are appreciating the reality of the Schuster situation. Put him in the second row and I strongly suspect goodbye Schuster. Maybe that's what some want, but until we see Schuster at 5/8 over an extended period we have no way of assessing his worth in that position. I think the writing is clearly on the wall and why Foran has left. It is obviously to open the way for The Shoe to play 5/8. Now I'm not saying he is definitely the best option, and perhaps after a year it will be revealed he's not good enough. I doubt that but its possible. Then the argument about his worth as 5/8 can be effectively and logically assessed. You wont get the best out of this player, playing him in the forwards at this stage. That's become patently obvious given his performances this year. Schuster has unique talents and those who've seen him in the juniors know he has, Why would you weaken your options having Turbo or Weekes playing there knowing Schuster is not going to be of much value.

We need a 9 and an impact prop to compete. My team:

01. Trbojevic (Weekes)
02. Saab
03. Koula
04. Parker
05. Garrick
06. Schuster (LatuFainu)
07. DCE
08. Aloiai
09. Signing (GCHT)
10. Trbojevic
11. Olakau'atu
12. Tuilagi
13. Zac or Bullemor

14. Croker
15. Paseka
16. Signing (Keppie (SamFainu))
17. Bullemor (Zac)

A fair bit of hope here. Some positions are being filled by players i hardly know but hope they are better than the guys in there currently ...

Half: DCE

5/8: LFainu is a generational player and will at some stage next year play in the halves. Schuster first crack for minimum 6 weeks ...

9: If by some miracle Manase gets off the stabbing charge he may come good sometime next year, but it would need to be a huge off season. GCKT is by all reports ready. If we don't get a specialist 9 we can forget going deep in the finals, this year showed that. This is no slight on Croker, he was an excellent standin but a standin none the less. Segey?

13: If he can't own the 6 I am giving it to Schuster in the hope he can be the link player, but I am terrified of his tackling ability. Needs to improve but could do it. If not stick with Zac or Bullemor. Not Jake, we need him at ...

Prop: JAKE needs to be a prop. The 13 experiment is over. Please. Also give him the armband. Add Aloiai, Paseka, maybe Keppie and definitely an impact signing we could have a decent rotation. I am including Sam Fainu in the hope he develops.

2rf: Ola is a given. Our best player all year. High hopes on Tuilagi but I dunno, I think we have a few guys who can fill the gap.

Centres: Parker and Koula as first choice. I like both and could be set and forget all year. Depth players the usual suspects.

Wingers: Saab and Garrick. Saab was really starting to play tough before doing his acl, poor bloke. Please come back good as new. Garrick is one of our best and quite frankly we need him to kick.

I’ve been saying for some time , a hard nose prop , a really good second rower ( in the Rueben Cotter mould ) and a hooker.

Here's a selection of what we need up front

JWH
AFB
Harris
Lodge
Bromwich
Curran
Radley
Martin
Finucane
Pangai Jr
Fermor
Tevanga
Carrigan
Tino
Nathan Brown
Cotter
Flanagan as coach. We desperately need to go the grub route.

That’s about 17 million in cap there , but boy oh boy we would never be taking a backward step.

I think klemmers best days are behind him

His kicking game is no where near the level a 5/8 needs to be. You need two kicking options in this day and age
DCE, croaker, Schuster (back row) and Weekes (wing or FB)
And Turbo will be able to do short kicks.

I am positive that 2023 we will make the top 8. This team will be good.

Good luck in the off season with working on combinations.

GO MANLY

Isnt tommy just a part timer? and wont DCE just preserve himself by passing the ball to others to get smashed in tackles 😆 We'll never amount to anything with this duo in the squad😒

Reason why we've signed no one for next year. The clubs been in turmoil, obvious fractured between coach and management and its been going on for most of the year by the sounds. No idea if we have a coach for next year so all player managers have just put a line through us. This is an utter fuking disaster zone.

Maybe, also good to remember Lawton. He was playing well for us before he was injured and he's very handy from lock to hooker.

If Jake goes to prop, Lawton should be our starting lock. He is an eighty minute player, defends well, and would play a Cam Murray/Victor Radley role, for us. Yes he is also good on an edge but I think lock should be his position. We have never seen him really ball play at Manly, but he is an ex-half after all. Lawton always reminded me of Foran, when he was coming through juniors. Particularly the way he would dig deep into the line, and open up the edges.

Zac Fulton gets pumped playing in our SG Ball and NSW Cup teams mate. Having him in the team was novel, but if he's in our first grade team, we are gooooorn.

Bullemor at lock? I think he struggles already playing a much more simplified role.

You have no Lawton there. But have still listed Parker, Bullemor, Croker, GCKT, Tuilagi, but expect us to beat The Chooks, Storm, Panthers and others.
