Flick Frankenstein.
For anybody.
Not sure if Kelly will be there but I hope so.
My jury is still out on Elegy.
Mostly cause I haven't really taken much notice of him.

T Funa
D Walker
B Kelly (M Suli)
R Garrick
K Elgey
DCE
M Taupau
Api
AFB
J Thompson
C Sironen
Jake T

Res: T Hodkinson, T Paseka, K Tanginoa, C Waddell

Is Hodkinson still with us?? I thought I read somewhere that he wasn't named in our top 30...

Here it is...

Coast player profiles
Manly Sea Eagles

Manly have released all three Wrights (Jono, Matt and Tom) from their top squad along with Lewis Brown and Aku Uate. Lachlan Croker drops from the NRL to the development squad while the club will no longer be paying retired prop Nate Myles in 2019 after carrying a portion of his contract on the books last season. Shaun Lane has been poached by Parra. Inbound is Titans pair Kane Elgey and Brendan Elliott plus a few promotions from the lower grades. Trent Hodkinson and Semisi Kioa are not listed in their top squad as of November 1 but it is believed their contracts will be ratified by the NRL in the next few weeks.

You should be our weekly team selector! I like it! Think your only contentious selection is Suli vrs Taufua, and I think the winner here will be the one who finishes plays best. If Suli can develop speed I think his stronger young body will win.

Brian Kelly will be here and be training at Narrabeen Monday in my opinion. Based on that:

First Grade
01. Tom Trbojevic
02. Jorge Taufua
03. Brian Kelly
04. Dylan Walker
05. Reuben Garrick
06. Kane Elgey
07. Daly Cherry-Evans
08. Marty Taupau
09. Apisai Koroisou
10. Addin Fonua-Blake

12. Curtis Sironen
13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Manase Fainu

16. Taniela Paseka
17. Corey Waddell

NSW Cup
01. Albert Hopoate
02. Jade Anderson
03. Brendan Elliott
04. Tevita Funa
05. Brad Parker
06. Lachlan Croker
07. Trent Hodkinson
08. Lloyd Perrett
09. ?
10. Toafofoa Sipley
11. Frank Winterstein
12. Jack Gosiewski
13. Josh Martin

14. Cade Cust
15. Moses Suli
16. Tom Amone
17. Sean Keppie

Hmmmm, had to leave out quite a few players there: Semisi Kioa (can he still play Flegg?), Luke Metcalf (can he still play Flegg?), etc etc etc.

Blacktown should be strong this year based on that

We must do everything we can to lock Hoppa up long term. He will be the NSW fullback in another 4 years.

But highly doubt he will start the year in firsts. Would he be the first Manly player to go from Harold Matt’s straight into first Grade?

Let's give young Hoppa the 3rd a week or two before we nominate him for legendary status .....

I do know that the 17 year old 2V went straight from lower grades to an "International" debut against the Poms .... and carved them a new one ......

Don't know the highest grade/level Toovey played before that .....

The good thing i see is there aleast some options outside suli and taufua. Elliot, garrick, hopoate give some pressure i won't mention parker as he not an option.
If kelly gone and where there smoke there fire funa would get next shot. What of seen of him in 20s he decent size and not bad defender.

Tom
Jorge
Walker
Garrick/Elliott/Parker/Funa/Kioa/Hoppa 3 ... (Whoever stands up)
Suli
Kelly (5/8 would love to see him get a trial there .... Des does like a robust skillful 5/8)
DCE
AFB
Api
Kapow
Thommo
Siro
Jake

Fainu
Tangles
Paseka
Waddell/GoJetSki/Winsterstein (whowever wants it the most) (I do like the looks of Waddell)

If Kelly stays Woodsie, I think he would be a star at 5/8. His type of skill base is very suited to that position and he would in my opinion set the back line alight. Mind you Woodsie I suspect if Kelly goes or plays 5/8, our back line would end up by years end as:

A.Hopoate
Jorge
Turbo
Walker
Suli (slimmer and faster under Dessie's training schedule)
Kelly (Elgey)
DCE

Interesting that Anderson is still with us and again on the development list. This guy has loads of talent and speed, but I guess Manly want to see more from him than he displayed last year. With Albert Hopoate probably playing full back in the Reggies, Anderson now needs to show he is a quality wing man and speedster. His performances in the U20s were outstanding. His performances last year were good without being a stand out. I think wing is his position and I hope he shows he's ready for the big time during the next 12 months. Maybe could sneak in, if injuries allow, by the end of '19

Agree .... Kelly is worth a shot at 5/8 ... I see the same attributes as you ..... plus from his perspective he goes from a $350k centre to a $600k plus half .... at the minimum I would give him a trial game there .....

I think Anderson is a talent .... a year of extra maturity and a couple of kg's maybe all he needs .....

With Funa, Hoppa 3rd, Anderson, Kioa, Waddell, Suli, etc we have a few exciting next Gen players to watch develop .... interesting times ....

Suli was well on his way as far as his weight and speed by the end of the season ...... but until I see him throw at least one pass to his winger I will withhold my opinion of him as a centre .... for mine he is a winger ... but given the amount of clean ball our backs got last year .. who knows what they are capable of with a good link 5/8 ....
