Why are we getting excited about a bloke who dies with the ball on every run?
Plus, why do all these player videos feature similar (c)rap music?

Yeah but Leary is gone now

Yes and Leary wasn't a utility he could play 3 positions, Hooker, Second row and lock same as Buhrer. Api is not a utility, he plays hooker and halfback. We have one utility, Lewis Brown he can Lock, Secondrow, Hooker, Centre and Prop.

Second phase play really isn't anything special in itself. Ball gets offloaded and goes to another forward who dies with the ball. It's a lot smarter to just run hard.

Anyone else notice they have removed all the players profiles off the official site already? That's just weird.

Every other teams player profiles are still there apart from ours. WTF is going on?

Yup, he'll be coming off the bench as an IMPACT player, I think that's what some don't understand. He will come on when the forwards are lacking a little whack and will get THEM into a position to offload. No need to have 17 offloaders in the side. Plus I think Brenton Lawrence will be one of those style of players off the bench so Matagi should be a great signing provided he just runs straight and hard

Hmm, on the club site, under 'Team' ... nope, no team. Just cheerleaders, juniors and a football dept.
Having no team is a major breakthrough in cost-cutting for a footy club, so well done to our innovative director of finance.

Or maybe they've outsourced the website to to 14 year olds from Balgowlah and all they want to look at is cheerleaders ( mind you at 60 I like looking at them as wel).

The old pervert who sits behind me in Jane Try brings a telephoto lens to each game just to perve and take photos of the cheerleaders. He's been doing it for years. Must have some good shots. It's kind of gross

The main thing with an offload is to disrupt the defence & break down defensive structures & cohesion.
Agree however a hard running player that bends the line & wins the play ball gives a similar advantage.
Have noticed last 2 seasons it's generally the teams with players pushing up with the ball in attack who win the tempo as the 1 out style, of say.... Manly....allows the defence to dominate the attacker slowing it down Consistently.

Gee, rugby league is becoming as specialised as gridiron. Sad to think that you can reach first grade these days by mastering just one skill.
I think it's time we had a specialist kicker-offer in our 17!
