CENTRE Konrad Hurrell has been released by the Warriors, ending speculation over the blockbusting centre’s future at the NRL club.

Hurrell, 24, has played just three times for the Auckland club this season and was one of six players stood down from first grade after a late night out four weeks ago.

The Tonga international was contracted until the end of 2018, but club managing director Jim Doyle says agreement was reached for an immediate release after discussions with the player and his management.

Among the clubs Hurrell has been linked with are British Super League outfit Hull Kingston Rovers and NRL sides Gold Coast and Manly.
