I'm not a gambling man, even on the Melbourne Cup, but $2.45 to win against The Chooks' $1.53 seems like an insurmountable Everest to conquer.

I hate these bookies - they all seem to know something that I don't, against a forthcoming game.

Can we do it or are the odds just not correct?

Lismore I tried a new strategy with my tipping this year, namely going with the bookies favourites (*except Manly!) I have got a hell of a lot wrong . . . Rabbitohs were at a similar price last night, so don't give it a second thought.

Jump on at that price, its true value.

Look when it comes to punting you should bet every time you know you are getting great value, and this is one of those times.

I had a lazy $50 on the coalition to win the election at $3.40, now I dont know much about politics but I reckon they were better than a 27% chance of winning. With the result still unknown I have just this morning  backed the ALP at $3.30 for $50

So if Labour win I win $65
and if the Libs win I win $70

SO like most people I dont give a stuff. Just wish I had $500 bets instead of $50's.

some good value from the TAB

get on the Anasta 1st tryscorer manly +13 double paying $158
the 40/20 to be kicked paying $3.75
1st try inside of 7:59 at $1.85
and I hate to say it manly/roosters haltime/fulltime at $6.50

Off topic but what odds are the Libs of forming government Bob?

I often have a bet on us but I think we're too short. The Roosters made a lot of mistakes last monday but it was an up tempo game they deserve favouritism. We're still a chance and $2.45 isn't exactly long odds.

IF YOU DO NOT TRY YOU CAN NOT FAIL
How was that guy who had the 20k on no 40/20 kick at $1.22 in the Warriors game and lost 7 minutes in.

Fancy dropping 20 grand on a bet like that!
