Zero tackle police

im not comfortable the zero tackle is being applied correctly or consistently. Id like to know this was checked every week every game by the NRL. Does anyone else wonder about this. Its a huge variable that could potentially make the cows 7 th tackle debacle look smally fry

Its a stat id like to see made more visible. Getting 7 tackles in a game twice as often is huge the way the modern game is played

The rule was originally introduced to stop teams from kicking it dead and preventing players like Slater and co from gaining considerable ground from the return. But now they get 7 tackles for a ball that just trickles over when trying to score.Maybe the rule can be adjusted if the kick was from 40metres or more out

slightly on/off topic, but when Jorge caught that bomb and knocked Kahu senseless, they made him stop play - he was running off as he was not tackled. However the ref stopped play and made Jorge play the ball where kahu fell and officiated that as the 1st tackle, how is that fair?

Mal, I thought the same thing. I have no issue with player welfare being of the utmost importance but in this case that should of been zero tackle.
