I thought Taukeiaho was one of our best players this year, and Jazz was also good.
Both arrivals greeted with scorn by many Silvertails, as I recall.
And busted Talau signed from wooden spoon club Tigers (groan) turned out so good that now fans are upset we aren't keeping him!

So how much did we sign him on? Seems you know more than the rest of us. Any time we’ve signed 1 of these 30+ year olds like Lodge, TKO, Brown etc it’s been on cheap or minimum wage deals. Why would this be different?

I have no idea how much but two years is over kill even on minimum if someone else was giving him two years I would have wished him luck. Other than TKO this season those over 30's have offered very little imo.

Yep we have lost 2 back up hookers and you need some depth players. FMD. We arent going to buy a young hooker when we have the bloke in reggies and young large coming through. Clearly some dont understand how a salary cap works. ZDC is no star but has been pretty handy for the rorters.

Manly have moved quickly to replace departing hooker Jazz Tevaga, with the Northern Beaches club expected to offer Roosters utility Zach Dockar-Clay a two-year deal by the end of this week.

Dockar-Clay played 16 games for the Roosters this year, but has struggled for regular game time after the club’s round 21 loss to the Storm.

The 30-year-old is expected to either start at hooker for Manly or play as a utility off the bench, with Dockar-Clay no stranger to the halves either.

Tevaga played his last game for Manly just days ago before heading to the Super League to join Wakefield Trinity.

I don't hear too many Roosters fans complaining about him. He seems like a solid hard worker. The knock on him isn't so much about effort or stupidity, more a lack of ability. He's not darting from dummy half and scoring 50m out.

That said, there isn't many Roosters fans to begin with, so it's a bit hard to tell.

Everyone on here who is complaining about this signing are absolute princesses... We've had Lachlan Croker as our hooker for five years. You're telling me he's that much better than ZDC? He isn't.
