Who is in our bubble?

The Who

Journey Man
I contacted the club via email and received an automated reply that due to 'high traffic' I'd receive a response in 5-10 working days...
Anyway, I think it's important we know the players the club is taking. For example; do they take Sir Loin, Al, Sippers? If not, who are their replacements? Will the club actually take 30 players? Can we take some from Blacktown? Can new players be drafted into the 30 and if so, how? Will the NRL publish a list of the 'Bubble Boys' from each club?
The situation is so fluid it must be a nightmare for clubs who don't know how long they will be forced to stay in Queensland, how long currently injured players will remain unavailable for selections etc
Did any players refuse to become a Bubble Boy? I can appreciate circumstances when this would be understood.
So many unanswered questions. Unfortunately, so much time to ponder them!

Sharks are not taking Dugan or Graham,Dugan because he is a muppet and Graham because of concussion concerns.I think they can choose any 30 who are part of their feeder system or juniors.(Don't know if any chosen who are not in the current bubble will have to isolate in QLD until given green light or even allowed to be selected, think current bubble is 50 players for NRL sides, but could be wrong)
Have to make calls on whether some will come back early enough if needed in later stages or finals.
Someone like Woods at Sharks is having doubts because his partner is due for a baby in a fortnght or so....
Teams have to make some snap decisions...

Pretty sure all fit players, or ones that are expected to be fit within the next 4 weeks from the trop 30 will be taken to the hub on the Sunshine Coast as no NSW Cup players will have to do 14 days quarantine on arrival in Qld unless they have joined the NRL bubble more than two weeks ago e.g Kurt De Luis.

PVL was saying yesterday that if the St George players who haven't signed (Alvaro and Lomax) need to by Wednesday. If they don't and want to go to Qld later they will have to do 14 days quarantine

Fainu won't be heading north with the others, he has some other engagement apparently.
Not sure about the likes of Saddler and Aloiai, who aren't expected to be available for another few weeks.

I'm curious as to what the current NRL bubble means - are players in the current bubble allowed out for the same 4 reasons the rest of us are, or are they only allowed to go to & from training & games?

The reason I ask is because I've seen a couple of our top 30 players out & about at the shops this past week.

My understanding from a few weeks ago so could have changed, was the bubble players could leave home for shopping and personal items.
Which in some ways lessons the safety of the bubble you would think.

I'm hoping our Bubble Boys don't play Trivial Pursuit whilst in isolation as any Seinfeld aficionado will tell you it can lead to trouble.

Okay so possibly the only difference between those in the NRL bubble & the rest of us is that they get temperature checked every time they arrive at training & each game & COVID tested on the regular.

Because it is for show...that's the current NRL stance on everything. PVL is a corporate fraud.
I'm starting to think that is the case - as mentioned previously, I've seen 2 of our top 30 players at my local shops in the past 5 days & wonder exactly what restrictions the NRL bubble have that the rest of us aren't currently having to abide by.

Add to that the wet lettuce punishment handed to the Dragons for the BBQ & I think you're right - it's all just for show.
