With the Sharks now " on fire " and not a win in sight this could truly be our best chance ever at a spoon.

Unless we get some troops back I expect we could be 1 from 10.

I'm not liking my mates giving it to me at present , I have had several text messages this afternoon.

Guess I'll just have to toughen up.

We need the mother of all scandals to hit one club, like a Bulldog or Storm salary cap rort, to save us from the spoon. At the start of the season I thought we were a bit light on, but I felt secure in the fact that there was clubs like Saints, Canberra and the GC to save us from the ultimate indignation. Now not so sure.
By the way, I was reading that in 1948 we were 3 minutes away from the spoon until big Merv Gillmer stepped up and kicked a goal from the sideline, for us to beat Norths by a point, thereby giving Norths another spoon. Here's to you Merv Gillmer !!!!!

Having been a supporter since 1968 I like to look to the positive of the teams current situation...the only way is up from here...I believe the team will overcome and we may not win the premiership but Im pretty sure we wont win the spoon.....real supporters support thru the good and bad times...and lets face it we have had some really good times and then we have had the Northern Eagles

Management are going through a pretty damn obvious clean out of the club staff and playing roster.

For better or worse they need a chance to implement whatever strategy/plan that they have in mind.

It will be painful, it will (and has already) cost us a club legend or two, but have faith on the end result.

Rebuilds don't happen overnight.

And never forget that the club is bigger than any player/staff member.

Lets hope the club is bigger than its current owner as well.
