All the hope is for a new half and a few signings that will somehow add joy to the despair of the Manly fan tonight.

What can be done to salvage the 2005 season? Our form in the early part of the year was good but we seem to be sussed out by the opposition now.

Des and his players will go back to the drawing board but I am not sure where to go from here. We are still short of players in various positions.

firstly i think its pretty obvious we are short a 5/8. get anasta - witt or monas to hooker, although monas is the better half, but prob the better hooker.

for the rest of this year - move monas to 5/8 - to play the fitler/lockyer/anasta role of organising but being wider. Witt can get the ball out to monas, let him play with the backs like the newy game. if not, then have monas practise cut outs over and over again until he can cut witt out of attack
