My son just purchased the NRL 2011 Premiers DVD and reading the back of it I was alarmed (let alone offended!) to see "It was the third Grand Final in the last five years for the men from North Sydney" Sorry but I had to vent my spleen - what an error. Just 3 letters (ern) would've made all the difference.
I think that just officially confirms the Bears as a non entity consigned to history. Ten years since they last drew breath and they are erased from popular public consciousness ( and rightly so).
