Warriors - Top 4 in 2018

The Warriors are playing as good as any team but it is early days.
There is plenty of hype on Greens impact and I must confess he has been solid.
The biggest improvement in Warriors games I have watched (4), is the new found forward power, aggression and controlled platform in the middle.
The other big thing is the fact the Warriors usually have lapses in every game, yet have maintained focus for the full 80 minutes which is very rare for Warriors sides in previous years.
Sheck at the back also looks rejuvinated, in 2017 looked lost at times and like he didn't want to be there.
The team management is also far better than NZ in the past who just throw the ball willy nilly and though good to watch - has created the team to implode in the past.
The odd error is still there, but its how you regroup on the back of it and the players are now defending an error with extra intensity - another good sign.
Maybe a fair bit of credit also to the coaching crew who seem to have the players attitudes on the pulse and they seem to be enjoying the game, a big part of any success for the best teams.
I must confess its Manly first and daylight second, however the Warriors are a team i don't mind see in action and going well.
Early days but they seem to have a team with the key components in place to be top 4.

There’s two sides I wouldn’t mind winning this years GF if not for Manly.

Panthers ( for my son in law).

Warriors ( imagine what it would do for League in NZ).

And at the beginning of the season Kearney and MacGregor would have been the two coaches most would have picked to be sacked by mid season ....

Yes they are going very well - why wouldn't they?
They've just bought about 5 Test players, plus paid top dollar for Blake Green.
So where is the salary cap investigation into the Warriors?

The NZ$ is worth 8-10% less than the A$ so doesn't that mean they can pay 8-10% more for players as the salary cap is in A$?

To set themselves up with early season wins is a massive bonus. Typically they can have a good run through Origin, where they have limited players involved, and get some wins. So I could definitely see them being a Top 4 threat.

not sure how itis handled but a big issue for is the difference in teh cost of living between certain teams i.e. it is pretty cheap to live in Newcastle or even Brisbane compared to Sydney

Their improvement is all about their recruitment! The two boppers they signed in Harris and Blair have given them some stability and authority up front, Blake Green is having a picnic on the back of this solid go forward and it has freed up Shaun Johnson to do his magic, they are going to be hard to shift from the top 4 as during origin, they are the side with the biggest advantage.

Nailed it right there. Have added much needed starch in the forwards and new signings have added professionalism, green playing best ever and so is Johnson. Some of those back line moves on the weekend were just awesome! The side is very strong and there D is also very good
