Warriors rule out Foran move

Winging it

A YEAR on from wild premiership scenes in 2008, it was a time for commiseration instead of celebration for the Manly Sea Eagles at North Steyne yesterday.

No joy for Tony Williams and Michael Robertson at their end-of-year hang-out in North Steyne

The players were mainly behind closed doors at the Bella Vista Apartments in North Steyne after their 2009 National Rugby League campaign came to a close on Sunday evening.
A 40-12 loss to the Melbourne Storm on Friday evening triggered Manly’s exit from the premiership.
It officially came to an end on Sunday when Parramatta upset the Dragons at Kogarah.
That result sent the Sea Eagles to their usual end-of-season hang-out in North Steyne.
But it was a different mood this time to the exciting times of last year, with players no longer parading bare-chested on the roof-top balcony.
A security guard was also on hand as the Sea Eagles reflected on their year, with memories of last year’s grand final long gone.

And for those that have forgotten this was last year:
