We have Buckley’s hope given our cap situation but geez I reckon a player like Vunivalu would be great for Manly. Melbourne might have to let him go. He gets the sets off to a good start and is a kicking target that we haven’t had in years.

I’d even been happy to let a quality forward go to accomodate him. He is a cross between Daniel Tupou and Mike Sivo. We need something to spark our backline.

I’m not sold on Parra overall( their record against top 4 or 5 sides is awful) but Sivo and Ferguson are a large part of the reason for their rise.
And who can forget them making top 4 with Radrada the year before.

PS please don’t take this as Jorge bagging. I love the man

Well we all loved Jorge and still do and I think that description fits him perfectly as well.... but I get your point.

Not keen on having Suli* at Manly - somewhat of a loose cannon, e.g. his 'hurdling' defenders NFL style 2-3 years back. However, a powerful fast winger would be an excellent asset to the team.

Unfortunately, Sivo has been resigned for a further 3 years for @ 330,000 a season.

Another option is to entice Nene McDonald to return to the NRL (if he can overcome possible legal charges).

Speed man Gideon-Mosby has not been resigned by the Cowboys, but does not have a large frame.

Then again, we can see how Funa performs when he is given an opportunity in first grade

That's a bit harsh on Horhay. I would characterise Jorge as more disengaged with what is going on around him - he just does his job and rarely changes his level of intensity or becomes emotionally involved in the game. I wouldn't call him dumb, just frustratingly dispassionate about his involvement

Vunivalu on the other hand is on a box of hammers level. He is prone to brain explosions because he is the opposite to Jorge...the synapses short circuit under pressure and as emotions rise

I hope Suli resigns for another 3 years at least......surely you're taking the pi$$ if you think McDonald or Moseby are better than Suli. Not sure what games you've been watching but Suli has improved immensely since under Des & has been one of our better players of late! He was a monster last Friday against the Sharks & watch him go against the Rabbits.

There may be big fast wingers available at bargain rates at some time, but I think Des's attitude is to fully develop the players we have coming through. Funa should develop into a good first grader & Albert Hopoate has the potential to become a real star.
