I couldn't hear it at the pub. But u could hear a pin drop when we scored late. Apart from me and my Manly mates of course. We really are still hated by most. Its so good when we win like that.

Commentators are there to add entertainment to the game not necessarily to be impartial. I have always liked the US systemt where you can tune into a broadcast provided by your own team etc

Honestly I did not find him that bad as you have to understand the story was the Dogs in their first semi for years playing at home etc.

Voss is a goose, he can't be quiet.

Blocker is a bandwagoner - he backs the team that did the last good thing 5 seconds ago, but soon forgets. Similarly he reacts to bad play, like a knock-on, whatever is in front of his eyes and says Oh they can't win now if they keep doing that, he's a goldfish. I don't mind him though.

I like Brandy the best on fox.

Over on 9 I have been less upset with them this year, but Psaltis is a joke, he can be relied on to talk up a team that is 20 behind after 70 mins, in some ridiculous attempt to stop people turning off.

Yep. It's his job to hype the contest and promote controversy. You can't really take anything he says seriously, and you definitely can't take it personally. And he seemed plenty excited enough when Koula scored that last try to me…

In Vossy's defence we all have our sub-conscious biases.

Thought he was ok overall though. Gave our players and team credit where it was due.

It must’ve been too obvious to the director who had Vossy correct it without apologising for the obvious gaff.

I think Blocker has been showing signs of CTE for a while now. And I’m not trying to be funny here as it is a very serious disease. I hope they don’t keep him going like Ray Warren.

Meh, I’ve watched the game twice and I didn’t think he was biased. Neither was blocker. I mean they speak their opinion they’re commentators but I found they favoured calls from both teams.

Dunno mate….Voss carries on but Blocker needs a rest. He seems so against us. Every opportunity he gets to say something it’s all against Manly. He always thinks we knock on or we’ve passed the ball forward or we were offside or we’ve fumbled the ball or haven’t grounded it properly. He’s thick as a brick Lolol.

I still reckon Rex Mossop was the best commentator of all time! He just kept me in stitches of laughter. ‘Let me recapitulate back to what I was saying previously! He was the absolute master of tautology!.

‘Well that was an absolute waste.of a kick, straight down field and into the arms of the fullback’. You just don’t hear this much anymore. Rex Mossoo was right, although.he would say it over and over!

I don’t mind Voss, as he does add some commentary entertainment to the the game, however, he is nowhere near Rabbs, Hyde and Mossop for entertainment.

'Hype the contest and promote controversy'. If the game is good, it won't need any hyping, and will provide it's own controversy. It's ok to get excited as a commentator, but impartiality seems to have gone out the window. There's always some agenda going. It's like watching a Punch and Judy show - with a 'commentator' deciding for you who is the villain (usually Manly) and who is the hero (usually some NRL-appointed 'favorite' like Souths, Brisbane, Parramatta etc) that you must cheer for. They can get stuffed as far as I'm concerned. Manly hates some commentators, too.

I enjoy watching with the lads providing our own authentic commentary, calling it how it is,how useless/great someone is, paying no mind to hurting feelings hahaha.

Not sure who was on Kao / Fox today, but thought Voss death rode us all day. Criticized the penalty of Pest Mahoney against Jake's dropped ball, just in time for Voss to be made a complete fool of as the replay showed he knocked the ball out of Jakes hand. Complained about the potential forward pass in Carob's try (the inferior Choc), but no mention of the forward pass in the lead up to Kiku's try from Pest Mahony at Dummy half. Penalty against Tiger Tommy for what was a hit he couldn't pull out of. Voss wanted him in the bin. Channel nine thought it was embarrassing. I thought Voss was embarasing. Made it unenjoyable to watch. Just my thoughts. Gutsy win. Suck it up Vossy.

Voss has been a Manly hating grub for as long as he's been commentating, and on top of that he somehow thinks he's a comedian, it's great to see him with egg on his face, he wouldn't get a similar position with any other network 😡😡

Voss’s biography is terrible too, it is the most boring book I’ve ever read. He fancies himself as some sort of explorer.
