Not sure who was on Kao / Fox today, but thought Voss death rode us all day. Criticized the penalty of Pest Mahoney against Jake's dropped ball, just in time for Voss to be made a complete fool of as the replay showed he knocked the ball out of Jakes hand. Complained about the potential forward pass in Carob's try (the inferior Choc), but no mention of the forward pass in the lead up to Kiku's try from Pest Mahony at Dummy half. Penalty against Tiger Tommy for what was a hit he couldn't pull out of. Voss wanted him in the bin. Channel nine thought it was embarrassing. I thought Voss was embarasing. Made it unenjoyable to watch. Just my thoughts. Gutsy win. Suck it up Vossy.

I don’t mind Vossy, but pairing him with Manly hater and dribbler Blocker is a bit much.

Who cares? We won. I'm sure other fans have the same complaints. We hear what we want to hear. I'd sooner listen to Voss than Warren situation Smith. If I hear him refer to "a knock on situation" or a "forward pass situation" etc one more time, my foot may end up through the TV.

The refs and FOX get their cue cards from the NRL pre-game. How good was it that we upset the apple cart.
I watched the ch 09 feed so didn't get Voss.
Though I noticed years ago, that my mind actually tunes most of the commentary out, I don't know why, and I don't know if it happens to others.
Replays and breaks in play - it's there (unless I'm celebrating the final try - then I hear nothing).
On ch09, tommy's legal hit that was penalised was considered a play on and Johns mentioned that refs have to stop thinking just because a player is down, something illegal happened.
He was also critical of the bunker when they took 3 minutes trying to find something wrong with Lehi's take and Bullemor's try.
but there was a lot of "Manly can't get out of their half" - etc which I thought was fair enough.

I think that sometimes people who are known for being 'entertaining' feel the need to always be on.
If you tell a joke around Ryan Reynolds and people laugh, he'll immediately tell about 5-10 in reply as he always 'has to be the funniest' person there. - But that's another story.
Though Glenn Robbins (Russell Coight / Kath and Kim) was quiet and more serious in a dinner setting, which is fine, as people shouldn't always need to be 'on'.

Years ago I emailed Voss asking about Qld's "miracle" try as I thought it was on the 7th tackle.
He emailed back a few days later saying that it wasn't and they had to ferret around for ages finding the footage. So I sent him a scratchie as thanks - which he replied that they didn't win anything. lol.
I also emailed a comment when he hosted... the Sunday Roast, which he read out and Gus called him a very strange man - and then I got called strange.
- yup, still got the email. (I just checked).
So.... credit to him for doing all that for me. But I'll also happily do without "Hey diddle diddle, straight down the middle" from him most games.
