Great player. I still have his footy card from 1980.

Funny, only yesterday I was reading a book I haven't read in years (Simply The Best: The 1990 Kangaroos) and in the chapter about the `Roos win over Warrington it had a fair bit about Johnson who was Warrington's coach at the time. Then I go online and find out he's passed at the age of 59. Way too young.....but it shows that Alzheimers doesn't just affect the elderly.

I remember his footy card well. Living in Carlton 4 blocks from Jubilee Oval, it was a highly sort after card at my primary school.

Like most, I had no idea he had Alzheimer's. Sad really.
